The inspiration for Risen comes from the Christus statue famously sculpted by Thorveldsen which, the original version, sits in The Church of Our Lady in Copenhagen, Denmark. We love this image because it depicts, to us, the real relationship with our Savior, which is that His arms are always outstretched to us!
Risen is designed to remind all people that there is a Savior, He is alive, He lives, and it is through Him who can relieve all pain, sorrow, and affliction. The image of Risen is of a savior ready to provide an embrace, a hug, an invitation to draw close to Him. His arms are eternally outstretched waiting for us to come to Him. This image is a reminder that He not only died for us, but He was resurrected. Because of Jesus’s resurrection, all mankind has eternal life.
What we wear in terms of clothing and jewelry makes a personal statement. This is especially true of the crucifix. It identifies someone as a Christian, a believer in Jesus Christ. It is a symbol of faith. The Risen emblem continues on this faith path by focusing on the resurrection of Jesus. He is the living Christ, our resurrected Lord. This new emblem is a complement to the crucifix and is designed to be worn with and in conjunction with this important symbol. Embrace the resurrection of Christ with Risen.
