Today, we go with Christ to the temple courtyard in Jerusalem where He spent all day Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, teaching and blessing all who were willing to listen. This was the last opportunity many of these people would have to hear the Master Teacher of Truth and be converted. I love that our Savior most often taught in the Court of the Women or the Court of the Gentiles, making Himself accessible to all of the temple pilgrims, not just the Jewish men. If you have the time, read Matthew 21-23 for the most complete record of His teachings. These were not comfortable conversations!! Jesus was met with the full force of opposition from the combined intellect and cunning of the Sanhedrin. But you will see that Jesus was equal to the challenge!
What a coincidence that on this very day, we are witnessing similar debates in the Supreme Court of our land. Truth will always be met with opposition, but truth will triumph. And we need to help truth triumph.
